Vernon Ah Kee’s videos, photographs, drawings and text-based artworks are a critique of Australian popular culture from a contemporary Aboriginal perspective. In his recent video work Waru (2009), the game of cricket is used as a metaphor to comment on Aboriginal experience within broader Australian society.
