Photographer Grant Hobson explores issues relating to Australian identity and culture. Hobson’s recent work comments on the Australian surf industry and its impact on the environment. His new photographic series focuses on the first ever ‘tow-in’ surf competition, to be held in 2009 in the remote and environmentally unique Eyre Peninsula on the west coast of South Australia, home to some of Australia’s rarest marine mammals.
